An 80 ksi gas shielded flux cored wire with a nickel addition, used where the finished joint must hold impact toughness at low service temperature.

How it runs

  • Smooth spray-like transfer with a fast freezing slag for out of position work
  • Nickel addition raises impact toughness in cold service
  • Heat input must be controlled to protect the specified impact values
  • Full slag coverage and a clean, well washed bead face

Storage and handling

Alloy flux cored wire is moisture sensitive. Keep spools in sealed foil packaging with desiccant and rebag or oven store opened spools.
